There is something really special about hosting an event for the first time. You have it all in your head for so so long that there is nothing quite like the reality of it come to life. This event, The Roar Along the Shore, was a dream event for me. I held on to the idea of it for nearly 2 years before I was able to host it for the first time.

Such an energy on that dock as the guests arrived and hung out in anticipation of boarding the boat. Nobody knew exactly what to expect (not even me!) but EVERYONE was glad to be there and everyone seemed to be enjoying every moment of this rare night out.

How long has it been since you’ve been out on the water? Out on Lake Erie that is situated right in our front yard? Me? Oh well, last year’s Roar Along the Shore is the last time I can say I’ve been out on Lake Erie. It’s nuts! Unless you’ve got a friend with a boat (and sadly, I do not) then that Lake is just about scenery. Scenery certainly is not bad, but that lake just beckons and calls out, it wants us out there!

I for one…want to comply.

Now in it’s 3rd year (I can hardly believe it!) we’ve shaken up the band line up, the boat (the Goodtime III) has even expanded the bars on board and we’ve set up convenient online ticket sales.

We have even picked up the cost of the service fee for each ticket sold. We didn’t build that service fee into the cost of the ticket. No, the ticket cost was lower the last 2 months than it was ever the last 2 years PLUS we paid the service fee’s out of that this year, and right now, at the $30 price, which it was last year, it’s actually even less for us as we still pay the service fee out of that $30. We want you there and are doing the best we can to make having this boat with this level of entertainment something we ALL can enjoy!

We want you to join us. But you have got to get your tickets NOW or they won’t last. I know that we all love to buy our tickets last minute, but you may not get a ticket at all if you do that this time.

Let me ask you a question…How many times have seen Herzog? Or perhaps Modern Electric? Or any of these awesome bands?
